Raclette Party Catering by The Sweet Life

What is Raclette? The simple answer is CHEESE!  But besides that,  Raclette is a tradition born in the Swiss Alps over 700 years ago.     Shepherds and farmers would melt chunks of Raclette over an open fire until it was soft and then scrape the melted cheese onto potatoes, cornichons and onions.  Raclette is still enjoyed in the French and Swiss Alps as an après ski meal and is a popular food experience around the world.  You can find it in fine restaurants, pubs and even street carts. Rather than an open fire, a special grill is used to broil the cheese and then it is scraped directly off the wheel onto your food.  I am excited to be offering Raclette catering in the Denver area and look forward to speaking with you about creating a delicious and memorable Raclette party for you and your guests.

 

Raclette Party Options

 

Classic Raclette Party

$40 per person + $100 chef fee – Minimum of 10 guests

This option is ideal for cocktail parties, open houses, client or employee appreciation events, receptions, or other events where people come and go and do not need to sit down to eat all at the same time. This party includes:

·      Raclette, melted to order and scraped off the wheel

·      Potatoes

·      Bread

·     Choice of sausage or Jambon de Paris (French ham)

· Cornichons, Pickled Onions & Mustard

*90 minutes of service time included for parties of 10, additional time can be added for an additional charge, depending on the size of your event.  Price does not include tax or gratuity. Price will be discounted for larger events.

 

American Style Raclette Dinner Party

$140 per person – Minimum of 6 guests

This option is ideal for small dinner parties. The food is served in a buffet and the chef will melt and scrape the cheese onto each guest’s plate as they pass through the line. This is a full meal and includes set-up, service and clean-up.  All you need to do is invite your friends and open some wine!  This party includes:

  • Light appetizer tray of dips, crackers and crudité.

  • Raclette, melted to order and scraped off the wheel

  • Potatoes

  • Bread

  • House Salad

  • Choice of 2 meats

  • Choice of 2 sauces

  • Choice of dessert

  • Cornichons, Pickled Onions & Mustard

*Service time may vary depending on the size of your party, but plan on 2 to 3 hours for dinner and dessert. Price does not include sales tax or gratuity. Price will be discounted for larger events.

 

 

Swiss Style Raclette Dinner Party

$120 per person – Minimum of 6 guests

The traditional Swiss style dinner party is ideal for small dinner parties and a bit lighter than our American style meal. Like the American Style, this is a full service buffet style dinner and the chef will melt and scrape the cheese onto each guest’s plate. This party includes:

  • Light appetizer tray of dips, crackers and crudité.

  • Raclette, melted to order and scraped off the wheel

  • Assorted European charcuterie

  • Potatoes

  • Bread

  • Choice of House Salad or Grilled Vegetable Medley

  • Cornichons, Pickled Onions & Mustard

  • Choice of Dessert
